Master Chief and Assault Rifle
Well this piece took me a few hours, probably 3 or 4 total, I had it completed in art class and then brought it home, took out a reference picture of the Chief and then fixed all my armor detail mistakes and whatnot.
I realize the torso above and below the AR do not match each other and the shading, AND the proportions are off, sorry, I'm not the greatest :/

Although the detailing is solid enough, you should work on getting proper proportions and the pose before you get into that stage. If you do some gestures and sketches first, you'll get a good idea of where you're going and you can fix any skewing issues like the one you have.
Your values are pretty solid, but there's no definitive light source. It's alright though, because it still reads pretty well. The piece is more about the detail, not the atmosphere and lighting. Good work, keep practicing. Study proportion and anatomy if you can.
